Church of Our Lady of Sorrows is located in the most noteworthy town of Alentejo (therefore and Portugal): Elvas (EuroBEC).
Its construction began in 1780 and ended in 1796, where the Church of Santa Maria Magdalena was once.
“Inside the temple stand out the chancel, the four side altars painted to imitate marble and also the various masonry works ranging from the profane to religious (religious emblems).
Next to the Church, in an attached yard, was the old cemetery of the Holy House of Mercy since the 19th century. XVI until 1845.
